What is SSC MTS?

 

SSC conducts this recruitment exam for Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) for various government departments. Last year, the Commission has announced for 8300 MTS posts but the new vacancy has been increased to 10,302. The selected candidates can be posted in any government offices across the country as a Group ‘C’ non-gazetted employee. Candidates who have passed 10th class are eligible to apply for SSC MTS.

 

Staff Selection Commission of India has updated the exam date for SSC MTS 2018 Exam. The Application Process for SSC MTS 2018 will commence from 4th August to 31st August 2018. The Online Examination for SSC MTS 2018 will be conducted in the month of December 2018 & January 2019.

As per the official examination calendar of Staff Selection Commission, SSC MTS Notification 2018 will be released on 4th August. How to Fill SSC MTS 2018 Online Application Form?

  1. Visit the official website of SSC.
  2. click on the tab of Notice and visit the MTS section
  3. Read notification carefully 
  4. Click on the "Apply" tab
  5. Already registered candidates can log in directly by using Registration No and password
  6. New user will have to register first
  7. Please carry your identity proof, it will help you in filling the form.
  8. Please fill the details correctly. Before submitting the details you should check it twice.
  9. Upload the scanned copy of your passport size photograph of the required size mention in the form.
  10. You have to select the mode of the payment.
  11. After submitting you will get the confirmation mail.

 

SSC MTS 2018 Application Fee

 

The fee charges for the general category is Rs.100/- only, women/SC/ST/physically handicapped and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying a fee. Important details regarding modes of payment. You have to do any payment of SSC MTS 2018 exam by SBI bank only. You can pay the requisite fee through challan, which you have to send to the official address mentioned in the form or you can send payment through SBI Net banking and debit/credit card.

 

SSC MTS 2018 Eligibility Criteria

 

  1. Must be the citizen of India OR belongs to Bhutan or Nepal.
  2. Tibetan refugee who came over to India, with the intention of permanently settling in India before the 1st January 1962 are eligible to apply
  3. Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India can apply for this examination.

 

Educational Qualification - Minimum 10th passed from the recognized university of the board will be applicable.

 

Age Limit- Candidate should lay between 18-25 years. Age relaxation is provided to the reserved category. DOB which is recorded in the Senior Secondary Education will be taken into consideration by the commission.

SSC MTS 2018 Exam Pattern

 

SSC MTS 2018 Exam Pattern consists of two stages. The second stage exam is conducted for those candidates who clear the Paper1. Candidates will be provided 2 hours (120 mins) to complete the paper. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

SSC MTS Paper 2 Exam Pattern

 

  • Type: Paper 2 will be a descriptive type Exam.
  • Mode: The exam will be conducted in offline, Pen and Paper mode.
  • Total Marks: The exam will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.
  • This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which are necessary for Government jobs.
  • Questions: Paper-II will be descriptive in which the candidate will be required to write short essay/letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the constitution.
  • The Selection will be done on the basis of score obtained in a paper-I subject to minimum Qualifying marks obtained in Paper-II.

 

SSC MTS 2018 Syllabus

 

Part- A General Intelligence

Non-verbal types of questions including similarities & differences, problem solving, decision making, non -verbal series, space visualization, visual memory, analysis judgment, arithmetical number series, discriminating observation, relationship concepts. This test will judge the candidate abilities to deal with the arithmetical computation abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship and other analytical functions.

 

Part-B English Language

This section is generally included just to test the candidate’s vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, sentence structure, grammar & the writing ability etc.

 

Part-C Numerical Aptitude

Questions will be based on Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Menstruation, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, computation of whole numbers, number systems, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, etc.

 

Part-D General Awareness

This section is usually designed to see that how much the candidate is aware of the events around him such as questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc.

 

SSC MTS 2018 Exam Admit card

 

  • SSC MTS 2018 Admit Card will be released 15 days before the exam.
  • The candidate has to download the admit card from the official website. Before downloading the admit card candidate need to check their name and other given details before downloading the admit card.
  • Admit card is not sent through the post, so the candidate should keep an eye on the official website for regular updates.
  • The candidate has to download and print it in A4 page format.
  • Candidate should make multiple copies of admit card to not to get in trouble like misplace of admit card.
  • Candidate should carry a copy of your Admit card as well as a valid ID card (Voter ID or ID card) to the Examination Centre.
  • The candidate has to attach the photograph on the admit card, same photograph which as uploaded in the application form.
  • Candidates need to sign on the admit card in the signature box, one should be careful because the signature in admit card should match with the signature on the answer sheet.

 

Results of SSC MTS 2018

 

  • The SSC MTS Result will be declared in two stages, Paper 1 and Paper 2
  • Candidate who clear Paper 1 will be shortlisted to Paper 2
  • Paper 1 is of 100 marks and Paper is of 50 marks
  • Score obtained in the SSC MTS Paper 1 and Minimum Qualifying score in Paper 2 is the deciding factor for the final result
  • Candidate will be selected on the basis of merit list of Paper 2 and will be appointed for further recruiting process
  • The SSC MTS Result will be released in PDF file, and therefore candidate have to visit by online official website
  • SSC MTS Mark sheet of the candidate will be released in 3 to 7 days after the declaration of the result where the marks of the candidate will be showcased
  • There is no interview for SSC MTS,
  • The whole exam process and publication of final results take about 8 to 9 months

 

SSC MTS 2018 Selection Procedure

 

  • SSC MTS Selection Process starts with online written Examination.
  • Aspirants shortlisted on the basis of their total score in the examination will have to appear for a descriptive type test paper for checking Basic English language skills.
  • Written Examination is divided into two paper, candidates who will qualify in objective type paper will get selected for the descriptive type.
  • Documents verification after successfully passing the written exam.
  • Aspirants who will pass the descriptive English test will get a call for an interview.
  • The result will be updated on the site of SSC.

Note: The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different according to vacancies in each State/UT. Candidates for each State/UT will be finally shortlisted on the bases of their exam performance in Paper-I and Paper-2.

 

SSC MTS Cut off 2018

 

The process of checking SSC MTS cutoff 2018 is very easy because it will be released by the board along with result. Cut-Off marks are the minimum marks required for qualifying the exam. The SSC MTS Cut-Off Marks 2017-18 has been released on 15th January for Paper-I exam which was conducted from 16th September to 31st October 2017. This cut-off would depend on the level of paper, the difficulty level of the journal, no. of students appeared for the examination and number of vacancies, etc.
