IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Section) conducts IBPS Clerk examination for the recruitment of clerical posts in the various public sector banks across the country. Candidates seeking a career in any of the national public sector banks can apply for IBPS Clerk 2018. They must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream are eligible to apply IBPS Clerk. Every year, all the public-sector banks fill their vacancies through IBPS Recruitment. This year, IBPS will release notification for around 8000 vacancies approx. The online IBPS application form will be available from August - September 2018.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2018 Exam

IBPS Clerk Application Form 2018

IBPS Clerk Application Form will be made available from August 2018. The application process consists of four stages i.e. Registration, Uploading of Images, Fill up the details and fee payment. Candidates can fill the application form by following these steps as mentioned below.

Application Fee for IBPS 2018 EXAM

The application fee for General/OBC category is INR 600 while it is INR 100 for SC/ST/PWD category.  The application fee can be paid in online mode through credit card/ debit card/ net-banking or in offline mode through challan.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern & Syllabus 2018

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern and Syllabus is different for Prelims and Mains round. Here, we are providing the complete details for both rounds as given below. The marking scheme is same in both rounds. Each question carries one mark and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Prelims Examination – It comprises three sections i.e. English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. IBPS Clerk Paper consists of 100 questions which are objective in nature. The total duration of the prelims round is 1 hour.

Mains Examination – It consists of 200 objective type questions. The questions are divided into five sections which are Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (Banking) and Computer Knowledge. Candidates have to solve the paper in 2 hours 15 minutes.

IBPS Clerk Cut Off 2018

IBPS sets the cut off marks for IBPS Clerk. Candidates have to score equal to or above the cut off marks in the preliminary exam to be eligible for main exam. The cut off mark depends on the number of candidates appeared for examination, number of vacancies, previous year cut off etc.

IBPS Clerk Selection Process 2018

There are two stages in IBPS Clerk Selection Process i.e. Preliminary and Mains examination.

Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) – 100 marks

Main Examination (Objective Type) – 200 marks

IBPS Clerk Results 2018

The result for both prelims and Main examination are declared on the official website of IBPS. The result for prelims round will be declared in December 2018 and the Mains examination result will be declared in April 2018. Candidates can check the result on the official website by providing their Roll Number and Password.

Candidates have to secure minimum qualifying mark which is released by IBPS, to be selected for next round. They have to qualify preliminary exam to be shortlisted for Mains examination of IBPS Clerk. After qualifying the Mains exam, they will be considered for merit list. The marks obtained in the Mains round are considered for final merit list. IBPS follows the procedure of equi-percentile method for calculating the score of prelims and mains examination.
