IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2017 is fixed by the exam conducting body which is Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. As per the eligibility criteria of IBPS Clerk, applicants must be at least 20 years of age as on August 1, 2017. The upper age limit for the general category is 28 years. The academic qualification required for applying to IBPS Clerk 2017 exam is graduation. Besides these, candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the official language of the state/ UT. Applicants must also have operating and working knowledge in computer.

Criteria for IBPS Clerk 2017

  1. Age

Maximum age prescribed for IBPS Clerk 2017 should be 28 years. The minimum age of the candidates should be 20 years. A candidate must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1988 and not later than August 1, 1996 (both dates inclusive).

  1. Educational Qualifications

Language Proficiency
Computer Literacy

Candidates should have certificate/ diploma/ degree in computer operations/ language/ should have studied computer/ information technology as one of the subjects in the High school/ college/ institute.  

Nationality/ Citizenship

You must be either –

    1. A Citizen of India or
    2. A subject of Nepal or
    3. A subject of Bhutan or
    4. A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
    5. A Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Persons affected by 1984 riots 5 years
Regular employees of the Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal retrenched from service (Applicable to Madhya Pradesh state only) 5 years
